Michigan
Nina is a champ at sleeping in the car; good thing since it's about nine hours up to Harbor Springs. She spent many hours digging holes and filling them with water (at least trying to), enjoyed seeing the animals at Pond Hill Farm, bowling with the dinosaur, and of course hanging out with extended family (most notably Maddick, Nanna and Papa).

Start of Summer
Memorial Day weekend was a great unofficial summer kickoff with the family picnic at the club. Nina couldn't get enough of the pony rides and loved getting some awesome face paint. She continues to love a good princess dress-up wedding, and got to enjoy a Mommy date to Dave and Busters. She is ever the loving big sister, always ready to help Andrew feel good even if it's just by holding his hand in the car.

Nina’s First Ballet Recital
Nina joined the children's division ballet academy of the Cincinnati Ballet back in January. Her Sunday ritual of getting picked up by Nanna, attending class downtown, and having lunch with Nanna and Papa was a hit every week.
Nina was thrilled to receive her costume as tue recital date came closer. I was anxious for her, performing on stage for the first time in front of a whole auditorium. It was all unnecessary because Nina was a star, performing her moves with gusto and good timing, and smiling bright the whole time. I am just happy that she loves ballet and is brave enough to perform. Way to go Nina!

Wow, how did almost six months pass without a single post?! Well, here are just a few snapshots from the fall, including Nina's first sleepover (with Mommy of course), weekend snuggles, wishes with Santa, zoo lights and celebrating her birthday a few days early at school.
