Fall 2017
Wow, how did almost six months pass without a single post?! Well, here are just a few snapshots from the fall, including Nina's first sleepover (with Mommy of course), weekend snuggles, wishes with Santa, zoo lights and celebrating her birthday a few days early at school.

Hanging in Houston
Despite being sick with a fever almost the whole week, Nina still managed to have a good time in Houston. After a few lowkey days playing with Andrew we finally ventured out to the zoo, which Nina loved. Although we didn't spend much time in the pool Nina did dip in while having a popsicle and even played a little pool inside... billiards, of course.
Hot Days at the Ranch
It's no surprise that the summer sun was blazing in late July, but we still had fun driving the "mule," being silly with the whole family, checking out the tractor and touring the ranch. After a little play time outside it always felt good to get back inside to cool off.
Traveling to Texas
Nina, the very experienced traveler, did not disappoint as we flew to Houston and immediately drove to Boerne. We spent the first day exploring town at a shady playground and then staying cool at the ranch; got to beat the heat!
Summer Sillies
This summer I got to visit Nina on the playground while I subbed at the J - always a good time running around and climbing in the "castle." Nina's favorite dress this summer was her butterfly dress, complete with wings, which she gleefully displayed during Shabbat Sing. She also loved her pink stripe dress, perfect for jumping on the trampoline at Fannie's!
Hanging with Aunt Randi
I think Nina was in slight shock during Randi's visit because she actually had to share Mommy's attention the whole time. Needless to say Nina showed off her imagination and verbal skills the entire weekend, entertaining us all.
More Michigan Fun
Nina added a couple new activities to her Michigan routine: day camp at the L'Arbre Croche club, bowling and kayaking. She was really brave running through the freezing spring water and got just a little frustrated when Mommy got tired of paddling in the kayak before she was done exploring. Guess I'll have to beef up for next summer!
